Cadooga FAQ

Stuck on something? We’re here to help with all your questions.

Account Deletion & Fraud Prevention:

What happens when I delete my account?

When you delete your account, your profile, photos and social media feed information are essentially erased from our system. Nothing you’ve uploaded remains.

If everything is deleted, how does Cadooga stop someone from rejoining under a fake name?

To protect our community, we store a secure “Cancelable Template” (CT) — a mathematical marker created from your live face scan. This marker cannot be reverse-engineered into a photo of you, but it allows us to recognize if the same person tries to rejoin under a different name.

Does Cadooga keep my photo after I delete my account?

No. We never keep raw photos once your account is deleted. Only the non-reversible CT marker is retained for fraud prevention

How long does Cadooga keep this Cancelable Template?

For 60 months (5 years). After that, it is automatically and permanently purged.

What happens if I try to sign up again after deleting my account?

We will match your information with the Cancelable Template (CT). If it does not match you will be directed to customer service who will have to manually review your profile. You will also more than likely have to go through a Jumio verification- so it’s best to just be honest from the start

What other checks are in place for fraud prevention?

We also look at device markers, phone/email reuse, and unusual login locations. These checks help us detect fraud attempts while avoiding mistakes

Is this process legal and secure?

Yes. Cadooga complies with privacy laws (such as CCPA) by deleting all personal data while retaining only a limited, secure fraud-prevention marker. The Cancelable Template cannot be used to recreate your face. All matches and decisions are logged in secure, access-controlled systems.

Deactivation vs. Deletion:

What’s the difference between deactivating and deleting my Cadooga account?

Deactivation: Temporary. Your account is hidden but not erased. You can come back and reactivate anytime and pick up right where you left off!
Deletion: Permanent. Your personal data, photos and feed are deleted. Only a secure, non-reversible fraud-prevention marker is kept for up to 60 months.

What happens when I deactivate my account?

Your profile is moved into an inactive state and you are unlinked from anyone you may be linked to. They will receive a notification you are no longer linked. You also will no longer appear in any Cadooga member searches or live face scan searches as a member
You can log back in and reactivate your account anytime, restoring full access and visibility.

What happens when I delete my account?

All of your personal data and raw facial images are permanently purged. You will no longer be linked to your partner. They will be sent a notification you are no longer linked.
A “Cancelable Template” is stored only for fraud prevention and expires after 60 months. Deleted accounts do not show up in searches or scans. If scanned, you appear as a “non-member” if you have any public information available like everyone else.

How will other users see me if I deactivate or delete?

In both cases, you will not appear as a Cadooga member. If scanned, you’ll show up only as a “stranger,” with no identifying details beyond public information.

Can I reactivate my account after deletion?

No. Deletion is permanent. Only deactivation allows you to come back later. If you delete your account you have to go through the entire sign up process again.

Verification:

What are Blue Check and Gold Check marks?

A Blue Check mark is for everyday users who want to verify their identity. A Gold Check mark is for public figures and offers higher visibility and trust.

How do I get verified?

You’ll use a third-party ID verification (Jumio) for Blue Check. For Gold Check, there is additional criteria to qualify as a public figure.

Live Face Scan & Identity:

What is live face scanning, and how does it work?

Cadooga uses your face in real time (not just uploaded photos) to verify identity and reduce fake accounts, impersonation, and fraud.

Intend2Copyright:

What is “Intend2Copyright”?

It’s a feature that uses blockchain and watermark to timestamp your creative content, giving you proof of ownership before anyone else can claim it. It’s NOT a copyright. It’s the first step in helping you establish ownership.

How does Intend2Copyright protect me?

The blockchain timestamp and watermark act as a source of evidence that you created your content on a specific date and at a specific time. This record can help support you in ownership disputes or copyright claims. It is NOT a legal copyright.

Does my Intend2Copyright ever expire?

No. Once you create an Intend2Copyright record in Cadooga, it’s permanently timestamped and stored on blockchain. It does not expire. Your record remains as a source of evidence that you created the content on that date.

Is Intend2Copyright the same as filing with the U.S. Copyright Office?

No. Intend2Copyright creates a secure, time-stamped proof of authorship, but it is not a substitute for a formal registration with the U.S. Copyright Office. For maximum legal protection, you will need to register your work officially.
